CBD Edibles UK

CBD Edibles, Gummies and Sweets

Our vast selection of CBD edibles is consistently increasing. Regarded as a huge hit in the UK CBD market, once you try them you won’t be able to wait to get your hands on some more. Our award-winning CBD gummies are available in a variety of strengths, so be sure to check their individual web pages for specific information as each product differs.

WHY CHOOSE ORANGE COUNTY CBD EDIBLES?

CBD edibles are one of our all-time favourite ranges of products, if we do say so ourselves. As well as tasting oh-so good, they provide you with a convenient and effective solution to portioning and taking your dose of CBD.

At Orange County CBD we supply an assortment of CBD gummies, with our range covering gummy strawberries, gummy cherries, gummy bottles, gummy buttons, gummy worms, gummy rings, and gummy bears). We also provide an excellent savoury CBD edible in the form of our Buddy’s Bites Meaty Treats.

ORANGE COUNTY CBD EDIBLE TYPES

Our CBD edible products can be purchased in grab bags, small tubs or large tubs. Please refer to the individual products listed as well as your personal preference and budget, as size and strength varies across each product.

Our CBD gummies come in grab bags that are perfect if you want to try our CBD edibles for the first time without committing to a full tub. For the seasoned CBD veterans out there, both the small and large tubs are great value for money and give you a respectable stockpile to enjoy.

DOSING YOUR CBD EDIBLES

Each CBD edible will vary in size and strength, so there’s no standardised guideline when it comes to eating our CBD Gummies. Your preferred dose of CBD will also vary, based on everything from your own bodily conditions to what exactly you’re seeking from your CBD experience. Because of this we can’t give any clear suggestions as to how many CBD gummies you should take in a single day.

What we will suggest is that you take care to note just how many you take and when, with attention to the strength of the CBD gummies and its relation to your preferred dosage. Remember to give each dosing session enough time to kick in before taking more. When enjoying our CBD gummies, be sure to follow the FSA guidelines and do not exceed the maximum dosage of 70mg of CBD per day.

CBD EDIBLES INGREDIENTS

All individual ingredients for our CBD edibles can be found on each of their product pages or on their packaging. Although specific ingredients can differ due to shape and taste, we use the same well-balanced recipe as the starting point for all of our CBD gummies. As such every CBD gummy is gluten free and vegan friendly.

IS IT LEGAL TO CONSUME CBD EDIBLES IN THE UK?

Before you learn anything else about CBD edibles, finding out whether it’s legal to eat, drink and consume CBD is probably a good starting point. So, let’s make it as straightforward for you as possible.

As of writing, CBD is entirely legal to sell and consume in the UK, provided that its THC content is 0.2% or less. In a cannabis plant you will find two cannabinoids, THC and CBD. THC is the psychoactive compound in cannabis that will make people feel ‘high’, whilst CBD is a non-psychoactive compound that works in-sync with the human endocannabinoid system. Any CBD product containing over 0.2% of THC is illegal in the UK.

The requirement for a CBD manufacturer to hold a Novel Foods License comes into effect in 2021. The deadline to apply for these licenses was set for the 31st of March 2021 and we are happy to say that Orange County CBD sent its applications in well ahead of this date. As the year progresses, the FSA will review each application and distribute these licenses as they see fit. Given the time, effort and expenditure Orange County dedicated to making these applications, we are confident that we will continue to supply our full range of CBD edibles for many years to come.

To summarise, as long as the CBD edibles you are purchasing have a THC content below 0.2%, they are completely legal to take in the UK. The legislature surrounding Novel Foods Licences applies to manufacturers and retailers rather than customers.

IS THE CBD LAW LIKELY TO CHANGE?

Although the law in the UK has been changing recently, it looks likely that CBD edibles will stay legal for a long-time.

The requirement of a Novel Foods License to continue trading in the UK and EU markets is one of the biggest regulation changes to affect the industry in recent years. With the initial stage of this process now concluded it is up to the FSA to review applications and then proceed with the issuing of these licences. Once these have been issued authorities will begin enforcing this new standard. This may result in many smaller or newer CBD manufacturers being forced to pull their stock from sale.

With such a significant shift in the landscape of the CBD market having just occurred, it is unlikely that UK law regarding CBD will change again any time soon.

CAN I GET HIGH FROM TAKING CBD EDIBLES?

CBD is non-psychoactive, so you won’t experience any psychoactive effects from Orange County CBD products, including our CBD edibles. This is because all our products contain below 0.2% THC. This is in line with UK trading standards.

Our CBD edibles, being broad spectrum products, contain no THC whatsoever.

WHAT ARE ORANGE COUNTY CBD EDIBLES MADE OF?

All the CBD that we use in our products is carefully extracted from the highest quality hemp plants, grown in certified farms in the United States. We use an advanced extraction method to process the CBD itself, allowing us to avoid all solvents and provide you with a non-GMO, pesticide free CBD experience of the highest quality.

Our CBD edibles are made using broad spectrum CBD, meaning that they contain a range of other cannabinoids that help to enhance the effects of the CBD itself. To learn more about what makes up our CBD edibles, check out our lab reports for a full breakdown.

The recipe we use for our CBD gummies avoids all animal products, making them entirely vegan-friendly and gluten free.

WILL I TEST POSITIVE ON A DRUG TEST IF I USE CBD EDIBLES?

The vast majority of UK drugs tests are looking for the presence of THC. Consuming our CBD edibles will not result in a positive test for THC. There is a chance you could test positive for other cannabinoids, but these are all currently legal to use in the UK. Some workplaces will enforce a zero-cannabinoid policy, so you should always check your workplace regulations before enjoying CBD edibles.

Please check your local laws and regulations regarding cannabinoid legality if you are outside the UK.

HOW LONG WILL CBD STAY IN MY BODY?

CBD will stay in a human body for a varied length of time. This depends on multiple factors, including the size of the dosage, the application medium and individual bodily conditions.

CBD edibles are considered a more gradual way of dosing CBD, having to pass through the digestive system before entering the bloodstream. In general, studies indicate that CBD consumed from CBD edibles stays detectable within the body for 3-4 days after use. Frequent users may find this length of time increasing.

CAN YOU OVERDOSE ON CBD EDIBLES?

No. Eating more CBD edibles than suggested will not result in an overdose, as CBD is non-psychoactive and non-intoxicating. Our CBD edibles contain no ingredients or additives that will put your health at risk due to overconsumption.

Bearing this in mind, always consult the FSA regulations when dosing and do not exceed their recommended limit of 70mg of CBD per-day.

WHAT ARE THE SIDE EFFECTS OF CBD EDIBLES?

There are several known side-effects that have been linked to taking CBD edibles. These mostly concern feelings of light-headedness, fatigue, an increase in hunger and a slight redness to the eyes. Often these are the result of the CBD being taken in large quantities. If you have any of these symptoms we advise you to cut down your dosage. If this does not help but your symptoms remain mild, then unfortunately you may have to consider avoiding CBD use entirely.

There are instances of allergic reactions to ingredients within CBD edibles, including some reactions to the ingredients of our CBD gummies. This occurs for the same reason that allergic reaction can occur to any kind of food product. As with all allergies these vary widely, but can include symptoms as serious as swelling and difficulty breathing. If you experience any symptoms like this, stop taking CBD edibles and seek medical help immediately.

Although side-effects are unlikely, we strongly advise you to use common sense when taking CBD. Always refer to the instructions of the CBD product in question and be sure to check the ingredients of your product for any known allergens.

WHEN CAN I NOT TAKE CBD EDIBLES?

Though people from all walks of life enjoy our CBD edibles, there are certain situations where you should not consume CBD at all. These situations include:

-If you are pregnant.
-If you are breastfeeding.
-If you are under 18 years of age.

No reputable CBD retailer operating in the UK would ever sell a CBD product to a minor.

It is possible for CBD to interfere with the body’s uptake of prescription medication. If you frequently take prescription medication discuss using CBD with your doctor before taking any CBD product. If you have any concerns at all, seek medical advice before taking a CBD product.

CBD EDIBLES NOT FOR YOU?

If you've decided you'd rather not go with our CBD gummies, that’s no problem at all. There are plenty of CBD infused products to choose from, including CBD E-liquids, CBD oils and a pure CBD extract. We also stock CBD topicals such as muscle rubs, shampoos and face creams.

You can browse our entire product range on our catalogue here.

HOW LONG UNTIL YOU NOTICE THE EFFECTS OF CBD EDIBLES?

There is no definitive answer to this question as CBD effects everyone differently.

To help you figure out a suitable answer for yourself, we will give you some information about how long the absorption process takes and what this means in regard to feeling the effects of an edible.

Before we start, we should make it clear that CBD edibles will take longer than any other method. This is because they have to pass through the digestive system before entering the bloodstream and taking effect. If you’re looking for the fastest acting option then CBD edibles will not be the best way forwards for you. You may want to consider CBD Oils instead, or a CBD E-liquid if you already vape.

Ok, you’ve just received your first jar of CBD bears and you’re thinking “how long until it kicks in?”. In general an edible can take anywhere from 20 minutes to 2 hours to take effect. There are numerous factors that determine this, including height, weight, metabolism, how much you’ve eaten that day and your own natural tolerance. This wide variety in factors is the reason for such a broad scope of possibility.

Everyone experiences a period of uncertainty when trying CBD edibles, including experienced CBD users. Although you’ll likely have to go through a little experimentation when you first begin taking them, which may result in some disappointing outcomes, you’ll quickly find that dose of CBD that works best for your needs.

ARE CBD EDIBLES SAFE TO CONSUME?

All of our CBD products contain less than 0.2% THC, so they are completely safe to consume. CBD itself is non-psychoactive and non-toxic, making it entirely safe for the majority of people.

Certain individuals may develop an allergic reaction or intolerance to some of the ingredients in our CBD edibles, in the same way that it is possible to develop an allergic reaction to any food product. Always check the ingredients of your CBD edibles for known allergens before consuming them. A full list of ingredients can be found on the labels of every CBD edible product, as well as their individual webpages.

It is important that you obtain your CBD products through a trusted source, meaning a reputable retailer and a manufacturer that is proven to operate in accordance with UK law. At Orange County we consistently test our products in a GMP certified lab. This lets us ensure our continued compliance with UK trading law, as well as making sure that we meet our own high standards.

Whatever CBD edible you go with, whether CBD gummies or Buddy’s Bites, it will come with a QR code on the packaging that will take you directly to the relevant certificate of analysis. For our most recently published lab reports, just click here.

CAN I GET ADDICTED TO CBD EDIBLES?

It is impossible to get chemically addicted to our CBD edibles, for the same reason that it is impossible to overdose on them. CBD is a non-intoxicating substance and has no psychoactive properties, meaning that you cannot develop a chemical addiction to them.

It is possible to form a habitual addiction to CBD edibles. However, just like nail-biting or compulsive eating, this is due to having formed a physical habit rather than a change in your internal chemistry.
